At home sick…
Rainy days, at home sick with a nasty flu / cold, doom and gloom, feeling sorry for myself, not able to make jewelry, laying on the couch waiting for my body to heal, not happy… No fun :-(
These are the days when philosophy seems to be interesting again…
I see my soul like a house. I come out of my house to go to work and come out of my soul to go to work in the morning also… I don’t let the work come to my house or into my soul. I let people come to my house to see my jewelry and let them into my soul because I want to make them happy with my creations.
I like to know what makes people happy… I guess that way I let them into my soul. I also like to feel people, their energy and mind…
Walking to work in the morning I watch and feel the strangers that pass me on sidewalks, some are happy, some are sad, some are bored, and some are energetic.
Walking into a store I can feel the energy in there. I guess that’s how I pick where I shop or where I get my massages… That gets me to my new massage therapist… Great practitioner and a great place to get a massage: 7th Chaka on 17th Ave SW.
I started with selling my jewelry in their store and now I am having massages in there. It is such a happy place. I tried hard today, after my massage, to see what it is that emanates that energy. I couldn’t figure it out. Could be the owners, great happy good people, could be my therapist, could be the happy ghosts that haunt the old buildings on 17th Ave... or all of the above…
Whatever it is, even I am still sick at home, I am happy and life is fun again :-)

Jewelry Making Addiction
These days I have to depend more and more on my jewelry making addiction to stay sane and keep on living.
My day job is out of control more than ever... and all that I have left to feed my creativity hunger is... jewelry making :-)
Our life is crazy busy... Louis (my husband) building a new house, all of us doing some traveling here and there, Cole (my 12 year old stepson and business partner) and I having jewelry booths at some of the big street festivals in Calgary...
Cole and I have reached a new level of friendship in the jewelry making passion. This weekend we had Friday and Monday off so we decided to work on jewelry all 4 days. Cole has created some big pieces... Here they are :-)

Cole has now his own online store

Life after Work...
Life is GOOD...
I am not confined inside 4 walls anymore, working on my computer 9 hours a day... I don't have my 8-5 job anymore. HeHeHe... I feel like a kid that ran out from school :-)
What more can I ask for... I am now in my studio at home working on my jewelry. That being said, I seem to be in "computer withdrawal" so I decided to start my own Blog... Big deal you might say, but it is a big deal for me as I am not too good at self disclosure and talking about what I feel or believe... But there is always a first time for anything, so this is my first time as a Blogger :-)
I am trying to adjust to my new life... The guilt of not going to work and getting the pay cheque every month seem to not be as bad as I thought. Actually I am enjoying my new freedom and now that I have my own online store http://www.gemstonewonders.com/ I can really enjoy my work.
So, although I think of this as my Life After Work, I still Work... for myself this time, and, let me tell you, it is Good!!!
Today I took more pictures with the jewelry I created yesterday. The sun was warm and sweet like honey...
